School's out forever at Bayside High.

Peacock's Saved By the Bell revival has been canceled after two seasons, the NBCUniversal streaming platform confirmed Wednesday.

"We are so proud to have been the home of the next iteration of Saved by the Bell for both new and OG fans," Peacock said in a statement. "Saved by the Bell has been a cultural mainstay for more than 30 years and the new series, led by Tracey Wigfield's superfan enthusiasm and signature witty humor, seamlessly continued the show's legacy, all while allowing more audiences to feel seen. We're grateful to Tracey, Franco Bario, our partners at UTV, the beloved cast, and the fans who have continued to champion one of the most iconic shows of all time."

Putting an updated spin on the original Saved by the Bell, which ran from 1989 to 1993 on NBC, the new iteration kicked off with California Governor Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselar) closing underfunded high schools and sending affected students to the most financially flush schools in the state, including his alma mater. The new students brought a dose of reality with them to the privileged world of Bayside, as the show delved into issues of class, race, inclusion, sexuality, and more.

The cast featured some of the original SBTB stars, including Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Mario Lopez reprising their roles as Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater. Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Josie Totah, and Haskiri Velazquez starred as the new class, with John Michael Higgins as Principal Toddman.

The new Saved by the Bell received generally favorable reviews and recently won an Outstanding Comedy Series at the GLAAD Media Awards. The series' two seasons will continue to be available on Peacock.
