It's Savannah Guthrie's 52nd birthday!

The Today show host's celebrated another remarkable year, with her co-anchor Hoda Kotb revving up the festivities with a playful post Wednesday morning.

"Lets ride b-day girl!" Kotb, 59, wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the pair in a cardboard cutout of a yellow cab, with Guthrie holding up a "TAXI!" sign and Kotb posing with paper Santa hat.

Guthrie has managed to forge close friendships with her Today team off screen. Ahead of Wednesday's birthday tributes, the news personality gushed about the enduring bond she's formed with Bush Hager, 42.

"Our kids are still buddies. What we just do now is, she's out of the city, so we just make weekend plans and try to see each other," Guthrie told PEOPLE in March. "It was such a beautiful moment in time, those five, six, seven years that we were neighbors. Our kids grew up together."

"They were more like cousins than anything," she added. "Hal, her youngest, is my godson, so my kids like to call the other kids their godbrothers and sisters. And it feels like family."

It's not the first time Guthrie has opened up to PEOPLE about her friendship with her co-host. Back in 2018, she told PEOPLE that Bush Hager, who is the daughter of former president George W. Bush, is "one of her closest friends."

"We're almost exactly 10 years apart and 10 years ago, when she got married to Henry, I was a fourth-string White House reporter and they assigned me to go cover her wedding," recalled Guthrie. "It's hilarious because there are live shots of me talking about Jenna getting married."

"Isn't it beautiful and delightful, the turns that life takes?" she added. "Here I was, just a reporter, trying to find out anything about the wedding. Ten years later, she's one of my closest friends."

While celebrating five years at Today in January, Guthrie also spoke about the close bond she's also created with Kotb.

"The stuff we show on TV is fun, but the stuff I love the most is the stuff that's not on TV," said Kotb. "I was just thinking about our morning just this morning, and there are so many just like that, that happen before the cameras all go on, and we really get to be us."

"We're so lucky," Guthrie gushed. "You're my soul sister, to get to do this together. You held my hand five years ago, and we said 'Let's do this,' and this has been the joy of a lifetime. Cheers to NBC for letting us do this and having so much fun."
