Savannah Guthrie Apologizes After Saying ‘Oh, S–‘ on Wednesday’s ‘Today’

Savannah Guthrie has apologized for cursing on Wednesday’s episode of “Today,” thanking fans for “being kind and understanding.”

“Check, check — is this thing on? Yeah I guess it is,” Guthrie tweeted on Wednesday morning, shortly after the segment. “So sorry guys. Thanks for being kind and understanding. And guess it’s good thing I don’t wear a mic all day. #ohdarn.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, Guthrie was preparing for a segment when she cursed — and it was broadcast live. She could be heard saying “Oh, s—, sorry guys” as she continued looking down to read her notes. Her mic was then cut off.

A spokesperson for “Today” has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.

Many fans took to Twitter to support Guthrie and her accidental cursing, writing, “no judgment here” and “we love you.”
