“My life over the past year has changed drastically,” the former Miss Teen Tennessee told host Nick Cannon. “I lost both my parents to the federal system and now I have custody of my 15-year-old brother and 10-year-old sister. If I can teach them anything it’s take every opportunity that comes your way and don’t back down.” She then admitted, “I know singing is not for me. I don’t know what a note is nor do I know what rhythm is, but it was a good experience.” In closing she states, “A big reason I did this is because I know my parents can watch it. That was a big thing for me.”

Before Savannah revealed herself the panelists each took one final guess at who they believed was hiding inside the Afghan Hound costume. None of them were correct, believing the the melodic mutt was Bethenny Frankel (Robin), Brooke Hogan (Jenny), Olivia Jade Giannulli (Ken) or Sistine Stallone (Rita).

Prior to her performance of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” by The Tokens, Afghan Hound revealed in her clue package, “Just like the Lion, every single day I tell myself to be brave. When I was young I would dream about what life could be like over the rainbow. And for my family and I, the dreams we dared to dream came true. Best of all, we were together…until recently. Suddenly it was like our whole house came crashing down and I found myself alone, lost and left to pick up the pieces. But, I had to keep going and learn to laugh through the pain. I know I’m not a good singer, but I’m here to put on a fun performance and just have a great time. I want to make my family smile and laugh from afar. That’s what’s giving me the courage tonight.” Visual clues included a necklace holding a dog tooth (is that a tooth?), a t-shirt with Afghan Hound on it, a TV remote with her picture on it, a family photo that looks like she has parents and two brothers, and a piece of jewelry that looks like a house with a key attached.

Savannah was the second celebrity revealed this season following Kevin Hart as Book.
