Sauk Receives 27 Broadway World Award nominations

JONESVILLE — The Sauk, Hillsdale County’s community theater, has received 27 nominations in the 2023 Broadway World Michigan Awards.

“The nominations are made by members of the public,” said Sauk Executive Director Trinity Bird. “That makes this overwhelming amount of love even more special. To receive these nominations is a great reminder that what we do is important to our community.”

Nominations could be made for any production opening Oct. 1, 2022, through Sept. 30.

“Our season has been outstanding,” Bird added, noting that 2023 will end as the highest-attended season on record for the organization.

The winners are selected by a public vote. Anyone with an email address can vote at broadwayworld.com/michigan/voteregion.cfm. Voting continues through Dec. 31. Winners will be announced in January.
