‘Saturday Night Live’ #TBT: Transformers Make Bad Roommates
House rule No. 1: No Transformers allowed.
The fifth installment of the blockbuster movie series, Transformers: The Last Knight, opens in theaters this weekend. Megan Fox starred in the first two movies and back in 2009, she hosted Saturday Night Live to promote Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
In this Digital Short, Megan brings home Andy Samberg for movie night. She’s also invited her roommate — Optimus Prime (Bobby Moynihan in a mask).
At first, Optimus seems like a stand-up Transformer. “Godspeed on your journey to the kitchen,” he intones cheerfully when Megan goes to put away the groceries. But as soon as she leaves, Optimus turns to Andy and hisses, “Get the f**k out of here!” He adds, “You gotta go, bro.”
Yeah, Optimus definitely wants to have movie night with Megan — alone.
Things get even tenser when Megan and Andy return from a talk to the kitchen to find that Optimus has… transformed into the Naked Man (h/t How I Met Your Mother).
Andy’s night gets even weirder when Bumblebee (special guest Brian Austin Green) shows up to face off against Optimus. And then both of them, uh, “transform.”
SNL returns for its 43rd season this fall.
