'Saturday Night Live' #TBT: Lesser known Bond girls get the spotlight

James Bond movies are known for their thrilling action sequences, clever gadgets, martinis (shaken, not stirred), and of course, Bond girls. Everyone knows Honey Ryder, Pussy Galore, and Vesper Lynd, but what about some of the lesser known Bond girls?

This Saturday Night Live sketch gives them their time in the sun (and in Bond’s bed). They’re a bit more… uh, conventional than the typical Bond girl. Like Diane Keaton in “Never Die Twice Tomorrow.”

“Oh geez,” Keaton (Vanessa Bayer) sighs. She has a hard time threatening him too. “Prepare to die… I guess?” she says with a nervous laugh. “I don’t know.”

Then there’s Lea Michele in “Hippopotopussy.” Daniel Craig’s 007 is not amused when she starts singing the code to the missile.

“No!” he warns her, wagging his finger. Michele simpers and giggles, and then starts faux-marching to the tune in her own heart.

The sketch also features hilarious impressions of Jodie Foster, Ellen DeGeneres, and Penny Marshall.

SNL returns for its 43rd season this fall.
