Sarah Silverman took to the Daily Show stage earlier this week to report that President Joe Biden is losing young voters at an accelerating rate — giving Donald Trump an edge in five battleground states. The guest host returned on Tuesday to deliver more sobering news: A new poll shows that Kennedy is polling ahead of Biden and Trump among voters under the age of 45 in key battleground states.

“Which is definitely the worst three-way a Kennedy has ever been a part of,” quipped Silverman.

The poll, which surveyed 3,662 registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, found that Kennedy was favored by 24 percent of respondents in a race between himself, Biden, and Trump.

Kennedy — a vaccine conspiracy theorist, and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy —announced in October that he was launching an independent, third-party run for the presidency. While some MAGA die-hards touted Kennedy’s candidacy in the hopes that he would draw key independents away from Biden — they now find themselves playing defense to a third-party challenger they helped create.

“If he gets 24 percent in the election, it would be the best showing for a third-party candidate since Teddy Roosevelt,” Silverman joked, before adding, “And because RFK is anti-vaxx, it would be the best showing for polio since Franklin Roosevelt.”

The comedian took a moment to acknowledge the country’s potentially “historic” moment. “America could set the record for hiring the world’s oldest Nepo baby,” said Silverman.

Kennedy, who was once a once-leading environmental lawyer, now spreads unfounded and dangerous false claims that chemicals in the water could turn children transgender — something Silverman was quick to point out. “RFK is like so boring. You gotta be talking for 20 minutes before you realize he just said pesticides make people trans,” she said. “I liked RFK Jr. back when he was the clean water guy. Why couldn’t we get that RFK? Getting this RFK is like getting the Giuliani post sideburn drip.”
