Sarah Paulson to Star in TV Adaptation of Bestselling Memoir Untamed

Sarah Paulson can’t be tamed any longer: The Emmy winner will star in a TV adaptation of the bestselling memoir Untamed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The project, which will soon be shopped to networks and streamers, will star Paulson as memoir author Glennon Doyle, a discontented wife and mother who starts to question everything when she finds herself attracted to a female stranger, leading her on a bumpy road to self-discovery.

Former Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 showrunner Krista Vernoff will pen the adaptation, marking her first TV project since leaving Grey’s and Station 19 last year. Published in 2020, Untamed debuted at #1 on the New York Times nonfiction bestseller list and spent a total of seven weeks at the top spot, selling more than 2 million copies.

Paulson starred in nine seasons of American Horror Story and won an Emmy in 2016 for playing prosecutor Marcia Clark in FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. She reteamed with Horror Story producer Ryan Murphy in 2021 to play whistleblower Linda Tripp in Impeachment: American Crime Story. Her other TV credits include Ratched, Mrs. America and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
