Sarah Paulson Shares Sweet Birthday Tribute to Girlfriend Holland Taylor on Instagram: ‘You Are, Quite Simply- My World'

'The Morning Show' star turned 81 on Sunday

Sarah Paulson is celebrating her girlfriend Holland Taylor's 81st birthday with a very sweet tribute and a whole lot of smiles!

The American Horror Story actress, 49, shared a video to Instagram on Sunday featuring the couple sharing intimate moments and spending time with friends over the years.

"My phone made this. And I like it. Happy Birthday to my one and only love," Paulson captioned the video, set to Needtobreathe's song "Seasons."

"You are, quite simply- my world. I love you. @hollandvtaylor (don’t be mad about the second to last picture, I didn’t know how to take it out, plus there are pictures of me with no eyebrows, so-)."

The video, titled "HOLLAND MEEEEE & ME: Over The Years" featured the couple taking silly selfies together, wearing paper crowns, on adventures with friends and embracing on a trip to Mexico.

The second-to-last photo Paulson referred to in her caption is a selfie she took of them in which Taylor's eyes are closed.

Friends shared well wishes in the comments of the post. "Beautiful. I love this," Sean Hayes wrote, punctuating it with a red heart.

"Magnificent women Happy Birthday @hollandvtaylor ❤️❤️❤️," wrote Ellen Pompeo.

Paris Hilton posted two heart-eyed emoji faces and Sophia Bush shared three swirling pink heart emojis.

Taylor and Paulson first met at a party in 2005 when they were dating other people. But in 2016, the Ocean's Eight star recalled in The New York Times that she thought Taylor was "the most exquisitely beautiful woman" she'd ever seen.

They reconnected in 2015 and began dating, as PEOPLE confirmed in December of that year. They made their red carpet debut in January 2016.

In November 2023, Paulson gushed about her eight-year relationship with The Morning Show star on The View.

"I feel very lucky to be with a person who is smarter, wiser, wittier than I, and that just makes my life better in every possible way," Paulson said of Taylor. "She also makes me feel seen, which I think is the most important gift you can give to any person."
