Sarah Palin Hires Big Shot Alaska Lawyer to Fight Todd in Divorce Battle

Sarah Palin has hired a big-time Alaska lawyer to fight her estranged husband Todd in divorce court.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Sarah is being represented by family law attorney Lori Colbert.

Colbert filed an appearance in the divorce proceeding initiated by Todd Palin.

According to her biography, “Colbert is a lifelong Alaskan. She is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College, where she earned an undergraduate degree in political science, and Willamette University College of Law, where she earned her law degree.”

Colbert has worked in family law for years but has years of trial experience. She handles cases involving “family issues, including adoptions and family formation, surrogacy and other assisted reproduction technologies, divorce, child custody, child support, interstate custody, qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs), and Indian Child Welfare Act cases.” She has been practicing law for over 20 years.

Sarah and her lawyer share some things in common including family, religion and Alaska.

Sarah is clearly ready for battle in the divorce brought by Todd Palin. The two did recently agree to keep the proceedings sealed from the public.

Earlier this month, Sarah Palin’s longtime husband filed for divorce in Anchorage, Alaska, following 30 years of marriage.

Todd filed the divorce using only their initials. The day the petition was filed was also his 55th birthday. He is seeking joint custody of the couple’s 11-year-old son Trig.

According to the Anchorage Daily News, who first reported the split, Todd said the split was due to, "incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife.”

Their other kids; including Bristol, Willow, Piper and Track, are all adults.

Todd hired attorney Kimberlee Colbo to represent him in the case. The lawyer is the same who repped Dakota Meyer in his divorce from Bristol Palin.

Bristol and Dakota, who have two children together, wed in 2016 and divorced two years later, and their split was showcased on MTV's "Teen Mom OG."

Sarah has not yet to officially comment on the divorce.
