Sarah Michelle Gellar Defends Her 'Trash Bag Sweat Pants' From Freddie Prinze Jr

Sarah Michelle Gellar is finding the perfect way to get even with husband Freddie Prinze Jr after he trashed her outfit. The "Buffy the Vampire" star is plastering her look all over Instagram after he voiced some negative opinion over one particular pair of pants. Sarah took to social media with a cute picture of herself posing in front of her staircase and showing off a pair of black shiny leather pants. However, the picture had a deeper meaning that she explained in the caption.

"When your husband thinks your pants are slightly ridiculous, what do you do!?!? Obviously you take tons of dramatic pictures, and spam him with them (and yes, I’m still wearing my daughters headband,)" she wrote on Instagram.

Sarah also promised her husband that there were "more to come."

Not taking the hint, Freddie jumped into his wife's comments and slammed her pants.

"No babe, trash bag sweat pants are obviously not ridiculous," he joked. It's clear the famous couple's real-life argument could not be decided privately, so it was escalated to the public arena.

More Pants

However, it appears Sarah may wear the pants in the relationship because she appears to be winning the war. Fans showed major support for the pants, and even talked about shopping for a similar style.

"Definitely one girls will appreciate 😬 got my eye on a similar pair," one fan wrote.

"I have a feeling he secretly likes them! You look amazing!" another commented. Other fans thought she was giving off major "Buffy" vibes.

Sarah later posted another photo of herself wearing the infamous pants and put up a poll on whether Freddie will eventually give in.

"Do you thin they will grow on [Freddie] if I just keep wearing them?!?!"

Eco Friendly Fashion

Sarah followed up her pants extravaganza by using them to help promote a good cause, and stressed that it wasn't even for an advertisement.

"I wanted to share something I think is really cool with you. Anyone that knows me, knows I’m obsessed with @rebeccataylornyc . Now she’s given me another reason to love her. Rebecca just started a new program, #ReCollect where you can repurpose and recycle your older #rt pieces, in an effort to reduce waste and encourage responsible consumption. Now you can trade in older items for credit in store or online for you, and then on top, 50% of the proceeds from the program will go to @cooleffect_ an organization that focuses on reducing carbon emissions across the globe. This is not an ad at all, just a program I think is a win all around. Or if not, do what I do, and just keep rewearing your older pieces, because they are timeless. (Maybe even wear some with #trashbag chic pants 😂)"
