Season 3 is already bringing the looks

Welcome to The Blueprint, where we break down the celebrity looks we want to wear right now and build them back up, piece by piece.

Sometimes I wish I could just park myself in Carrie Bradshaw’s closet and have my own fashion show. I’d immediately toss on her tulle tutu and a pair of sparkly Manolos because they, along with the rest of her clothing and accessories, are my blueprint.

And now that the cast is currently filming season 3 of And Just Like That…, I’m already getting carried away with ideas for spring. Last week, Sarah Jessica Parker was seen on set in a questionably functional outfit that I’m already picking up the pieces for. Styled by Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago, the show's costume designers, she wore a breezy shirt that had a bow, just like the one on Gwyneth Paltrow’s, and a flowy skirt (which is a also celebrity staple IRL) to boot.

Some of Bradshaw’s ’fits are, truthfully, just a bit too out there for me. But this one? It’s a peak spring combination that’s got so much versatility. It’s not going to be super stuffy like a leather jacket and a pair of thick jeans, so it should be fairly comfortable, too. It’s also a nice way to break up the monotony of my typical spring and summer shorts.

Parker’s on-set skirt was very voluminous and would, no doubt, flow with her if she were to do her half-walk, half-prance through the streets. (Oddly, it also gave me flashbacks to the time she wore a prom dress.)

But I like to buy things that I know I can get wear out of for all sorts of things, and since this now-$35 skirt from Anrabess is a bit longer, I envision styling it in both a work and play way. Plus, one shopper, who bought it in white, said it made them “feel like a fairy princess.”

Siliteelon Oversized Button-Down Shirt

For her blouse, this button-down shirt is a match made in mint heaven thanks to its springy hue. While it doesn’t have a big bow or chiffon look like Bradshaw’s (for that, opt for these tops from Amazon and H&M, respectively), it should still prevent overheating, as it's made cotton, which ranks high on the breathability spectrum. And it comes in sizes S to XXL, so I can size up if I want to wear it more oversized with biker shorts, bikinis, or leggings.

Montana West Rhinestone Crossbody Purse

Bradshaw never shies away from bold accessories either: Her purse looked like a Gucci Jackie bag, and it was partially adorned with colorful rhinestones. This flashy purse is both a crossbody bag, which we keep seeing on celebrities, and a shoulder bag, so I can get double the use out of it. I also found this off-white one that’s sans sparkles and has a strap that matches the green shirt.

I’m already excited for the fashion in season 3 of AJLT…, and in the meantime, I’ll be shopping for more breezy blouses and skirts inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker’s character.
