Sarah Jessica Parker Is Back In Her Silly ‘SATC’ Outfits, Meaning It’s Officially Summer

In New York City, there are always a few surefire signs that summer has officially arrived. Sheep’s Meadow becomes as crowded as the 6 train during 8 a.m. rush hour. Vacant buildings are transitioned into seasonal ice cream shops found on every block. People are happy. And, perhaps most importantly, Sarah Jessica Parker can be found traipsing through the city in any one of her silly, not at all practical outfits to shoot “And Just Like That….”

Since its first season in 2021, the “Sex and City” reboot consistently begins shooting their upcoming seasons during the summer — most likely as a way to take the most advantage of the walkable city, which practically serves as its own character throughout the beloved series. It also serves as a natural marketing technique ahead of each season, as paparazzi and passerby get a glimpse at what the new episodes have in store.
This week, Parker and her co-star Sarita Choudhury, who plays Carrie’s cigarette-smoking best friend (and quasi Samantha replacement), Seema, were photographed in Washington Square Park while shooting a scene this week. While it’s hard to make any guesses about major plot points from their casual jaunt, we can at the very least analyze their outfits.
In this particular scene, Carrie wears a gargantuan checkered hat, a color-blocked maxi dress and Pierre Cardin crossbody bag. In another photo she later posted to her Instagram, she carries a tote bag, holding a copy of “The Demon of Unrest.”
But based on the hundreds of excited comments on her post, the highlight of the ensemble was, surprisingly, her $120 Dr. Scholl’s sandals.
It’s actually not the first time that Parker’s Carrie has worn Dr. Scholl’s on the show. While her Louboutins and Manolos got the most screen time in the original series, the fashionable protagonist did occasionally wear the podiatrist-recommended clogs. And now that she’s a senior, swapping the heels for clogs might be the most realistic plot point the writers have come up with yet.
Season 3 of “And Just Like That….” premieres on Max in December of 2025 but in the meantime, snag your own pair of Dr. Scholl’s clogs to match Carrie’s style in the meantime:
