Sarah Jessica Parker attends prom for the first time with Stephen Colbert
Sarah Jessica Parker dropped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where she revealed a downside to her teenage film career. Parker said she missed her high school prom.
“I was shooting Footloose. I was shooting a prom scene while missing my very own prom,” she said.
Parker went on to say, “In fact, the fellow that I was going to attend prom with, who I guess could say was my boyfriend, he was crowned prom king.”
Feeling bad for the Sex and the City star, Colbert asked, “I was wondering whether you would go to prom with me?”
Parker graciously accepted Colbert’s invitation and was especially excited when he gave her a proper corsage.
The two got a couple of prom pictures taken and even danced under a mirror ball onstage. It seemed like a good time was had by all.
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
