While Carrie Bradshaw is known for fantasy fashion, Sarah Jessica Parker is regularly seen re-wearing her trusty basics.

On Wednesday, Parker hit the SAG-AFTRA picket line on day 104 of what’s become the longest strike in the union’s history. For the sunny but brisk New York City day, she wore a number of her go-to pieces: Light-wash denim cuffed at the hem, a pair of slouchy suede boots, black sunglasses, and a crossbody bag topped off with a quilted bomber jacket.

Turns out the top layer is a $65 men's Dickies jacket, and it’s the same style Pete Davidson wore to host Saturday Night Live earlier this month! (This fashion overlap was not on our 2023 bingo card.)

The men’s version looks cooler, though, with its long length and big hand-warming patch pockets. Unfortunately, the men’s small in navy is sold out at Amazon, but it’s in stock at Dickies. You can get the small in black at Amazon, and it’s on sale for $52.

Bomber jackets were originally developed for pilots in the U.S. Air Force and Alpha Industries was an early apparel contractor for the Department of Defense — the brand’s MA-1 bomber jacket was put into production back in 1963 before being adopted by civilians as fashion. This streamlined version, the Scout, shares the history but in a longer, more slim-fitting silhouette.
