Sarah Hyland won’t be returning to Love Island USA.

After two seasons as host, the actress announced she is leaving the Peacock series to focus on another Hollywood project. “Well, I just got a text,” she joked in an Instagram Story post. “I’m disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer.”

Hyland, 33, added that she has “committed to an exciting project, that will be announced soon, that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for Love Island USA.”

Love Island USA — the American spinoff of one of Britain’s hottest summer dating series — was originally hosted by Arielle Vandenberg, who held the position for three seasons.

There’s no word from Peacock on who could replace Hyland this go-around. However, TMZ reported that Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix has been named as a possible replacement. The report broke ahead of Hyland’s Instagram post.

It wouldn’t be Madix's first time making a cameo on the series. Last season, she stopped by as a guest visitor.

Previous seasons of Love Island USA are now available to stream in full on Peacock.
