Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams are engaged! See his 'Bachelor'-style proposal

Sarah Hyland has accepted a proposal from former Bachelorette contestant Wells Adams.
The 28-year-old Modern Family star revealed the big news Tuesday on social media with several photos of Adams proposing to her in a setting similar to what you’d see on the dating show he once lost: a beach.
“That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff,” Hyland wrote in her post.
Adams, 35, even shared video footage of the tearjerker moment when she said, “Yes.”
The happy couple began their relationship by swapping tweets, after Hyland, a longtime fan of TV’s Bachelor franchise, complimented Adams’ taste in books in July 2016. By the fall of 2017, they were wearing coordinated Halloween costumes.
Hyland has spoken about Adams being supportive of her as she underwent a second kidney transplant days after their first real life meeting.
“He’s seen me at my worst,” Hyland told Self magazine in December 2018. “He was texting me in the morning before I went into surgery, and we were FaceTiming the entire time I was in the hospital. I think that’s why I feel the most beautiful in his eyes, because he still finds me beautiful after seeing all that. It was a really intimate start to a relationship to have to go through those hurdles at the very, very, very beginning when you’re just even getting to know a person.”
In August 2018, Adams, 35, moved to Los Angeles to be with Hyland, and they moved in together, with their beloved dogs.
In fact, both have said they want their dogs to be involved in the ceremony should they ever walk down the aisle. “It’s gonna happen eventually,” Adams said, referring to getting engaged while speaking to Us Weekly just last month. At that point, he said he still needed to get the ring, which he obviously did because Hyland flashed a sparkling engagement ring in the photos she posted.
