Created by Jack Burditt as a sequel to The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006), The Santa Clauses is a Christmas comedy series streaming on Disney Plus. The show is the fifth entry in the Santa Claus franchise after the films The Santa Clause (1994), The Santa Clause 2 (2002), The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, and the short film True Confessions of the Legendary Figures (2003). The series revolves around Scott Calvin / Santa Claus as he realizes that he must find a successor and prepare his family for life beyond the North Pole.

As of late November 2023, The Santa Clauses has not been renewed for Season 3 yet. This is expected, as Season 2 is still airing and Disney is likely waiting to see how it performs with the audience before making a decision. The first season finished airing on December 14, 2022, and the series was renewed right after. If Season 2 manages to replicate the success of the inaugural chapter, an immediate renewal for Season 3 can be anticipated.
