Weeks after denying it has any record of claims Corey Feldman made in 1993, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is now acknowledging that it has located those exact records.

Feldman asserted in October that more than two decades ago, he specifically identified to police a list of people involved in an alleged pedophile ring plaguing Hollywood, saying on the "Today" show that he "gave them names. They're on record. They have all this information."

The Sheriff's Office fully denied that assertion, responding, "Our records do not indicate that he named any suspects."

But on Tuesday, the office pivoted to reveal that it does, in fact, have audio recordings of Feldman's 1993 interview, which was conducted during its investigation of Michael Jackson. According to a statement given to Fox News, the team recently combed through its old files after facing media scrutiny.

"Following the recent inquiries into the Sheriff's Office interview of Mr. Feldman in 1993, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office conducted an additional review for any stored items remaining from the Michael Jackson investigation," said public information officer Kelly Hoover. "In a container which included the original reports from the investigation, the Sheriff's Office located some detective working copies of audio recordings made during the investigation. A copy of Mr. Feldman's interview was located."

The recording, she said, is being turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"Due to the fact that this case involves the alleged sexual abuse of a child, we are unable to comment further and any documentation or evidence related to this case is exempt from release," Hoover said.

Fox News had originally reached out to the Sheriff's Office in October at which time they responded, "We are aware of the statements that Mr. Feldman is making regarding an investigation in 1993. Our records do not indicate that he named any suspects."

Feldman has long maintained that he is intimately aware of Hollywood predators who sexually abused children, particularly in the '80s and '90s.
