Sandy Maxx's nightly "What's On Tap" show in WTMJ-AM (620) is doubling, expanding to two hours.

The show, which focuses on a range of arts and culture topics, will now air from 6 to 8 p.m. weekdays on the Good Karma Brands-owned talk/news/sports station. The show, which also streams live on WTMJ's YouTube channel, is often pre-empted by Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks games broadcasts.

Maxx, who has been on Milwaukee radio since 2001, joined WTMJ in December 2022 as co-host of the station's afternoon drive-time show. Later, she was named co-host of the late-morning show with Steve Scaffidi, before being tapped to host "What's On Tap" in November 2023.

Expanding "What’s On Tap" appears to complete the on-air overhaul begun by WTMJ in February, when the station shifted around several of its existing on-air personalities and added several others, including former TV journalists Jessica Tighe and Julia Fello, Journal Sentinel columnist Kristin Brey and civic leader Jeff Sherman.

Last month, Brian Noonan, who had hosted "WTMJ at Night" following Maxx's show from 7 to 9 weeknights, was added as co-host on Brey's 1-to-3 p.m. "Spanning the State" show. "What's On Tap" effectively replaces "WTMJ at Night" on the station's schedule.
