Sandra Bullock has been understandably laying low while dealing with the loss of the love of her life, Bryan Randall, to ALS. He passed away three months ago, but fans were excited to see the 59-year-old actress with a big smile on her face in a rare outing on Wednesday.

Bullock had treated herself to a day of rest and relaxation at a spa in Los Angeles. (See the photos HERE.) As she emerged from the location, she seemed to be having a peaceful day as her high-wattage smile was in full force. She was dressed casually in an all-black ensemble with yoga pants, a zip-up hoodie, a faux-fur coat, and colorful sneakers — she looked chic and comfortable all at once! Carrying a few shopping bags in her hand, she accessorized her athleisure look with a chunky gold necklace, hoop earrings, and elegant black sunglasses.

This is the second time in a week that she’s been snapped by the paparazzi’s camera lenses, and it looked a bit different the first time around. Bullock appeared more somber as she took a walk with her daughter, Laila, 11, and their bodyguard. For anyone who has ever navigated the loss of a loved one like Bullock, there is no blueprint for grief — there are good days and there are bad days, which is reflected in her two appearances.

Randall passed away at the age of 57 in August after a very private three-year battle with the disease. “Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request,” his family shared in a statement to Page Six after his death. Bullock has not addressed the loss of her partner yet, but she was reportedly “grateful” that so many people stepped up to donate to ALS research after the news was made public. The ALS Association saw a 500 percent spike in donations over last year which shows how much Bullock is adored by her fans — and how Randall’s legacy will live on.
