Samuel L. Jackson, Joan Cusack & Bradley Whitford Join Brie Larson’s ‘Unicorn Store’

Samuel L. Jackson, Joan Cusack and Bradley Whitford have joined the cast of Unicorn Store, the feature directorial debut of Oscar Best Actress winner Brie Larson. Based on an original screenplay by Samantha McIntyre, the comedy pic centers on a woman who moves back in with her parents, and she receives an invitation to a store that will test her ideas of what it really means to grow up. Shooting is underway is Los Angeles.

Hercules Film Fund is fully financing with Rhea Films producing. Larson, Lynette Howell Taylor, Paris Kasidokostas-Latsis, Terry Dougas and The District’s David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer, who developed the script, are producing. Jean-Luc De Fanti, Anne Woodward and McIntyre are executive producing.

Jackson and Larson worked together on Warner Bros’ Kong: Skull Island, which is due out in theaters March 10.

Jackson is repped by ICM Partners and Anonymous Content, Cusack by WME, and Whitford by ICM Partners and Greenlight Management. WME is repping domestic rights to the film.
