Few things were working for No. 14 Louisville against No. 3 Clemson on Saturday night so it’s hard to blame the Cardinals for going back to the classics.
We’re not talking about any trick plays here. What Louisville needed was some mojo.
Oh yeah. That’s the good stuff.
Sure, it didn’t quite work out for Louisville, which suffered a 47-21 beatdown at home to a Clemson team making a strong case for a No. 1 ranking, but you can’t blame the Cards for trying.
Lamar Jackson finished 21 of 42 passing for 317 yards, three touchdowns and an interception to go with 64 yards on 17 rushes.
Traveon Samuel hauled in two catches for 100 yards total.
Both left their team wanting more.
