Sam Taylor-Johnson Shares If Her Kids Care About Her 24-Year Age Gap with Husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson

The couple is parents to daughters Wylda, 13, and Romy, 12, while Sam is also mom to Angelica, 26, and Jessie, 17, from a previous relationship

Sam Taylor-Johnson's kids aren't concerned about her age gap with husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The director, 57, spoke with The Guardian in a new interview and opened up about the scrutiny she and husband Aaron, 33, receive for their 24-year age gap, noting that their daughters don't seem to have any issue with their relationship.

The couple is parents to daughters Wylda, 13, and Romy, 12, while Sam is mom to daughters Angelica, 26, and Jessie, 17, whom she shares with ex-husband Jay Jopling.

Asked if her kids face any backlash from their parents' relationship, Sam answers, "Not really. Or, if so, I don't think they care. They see two loving, happy parents so it doesn't really register. They just think people are a bit mean, or mad."

The Back to Black director adds that she's been married to Aaron for 12 years and together for 14, while she was with Jopling for 9 years. "So, if you think of it in that way, then the age gap doesn't really make any difference."

In August, Aaron spoke with Esquire about fatherhood, sharing that by the time he was 10 or 11, he already knew he'd have children at a young age.

“I was going to have a big family," Aaron remembered thinking at that age. "I knew I was going to be a young father. I knew I was going to have many kids.”

“Teenagers, man,” the actor added. “I’ve got teenagers.”

In 2022, Aaron and Sam relocated their family to England, where he looks forward to the little things with his blended family.

"I enjoy the normality of things, the everyday stuff," he told Esquire. "Getting my kids ready in the mornings, taking them to school and activities — that’s plenty. That feeds my soul.”

Last June, Sam posted a sweet tribute to her husband for his 33rd birthday, praising him for his parenting skills.

"Happy Birthday dear heart ♥️ ," she wrote. "You’re the sweetest husband and incredible Father to all our girls. We love you ♥️."
