Sam Hunt Performs Soulful Rendition of 'Locked Up' at the 2024 CMT Awards
The country music star took to the stage at The Moody Center in Austin, Texas, following the release of his new 'Locked Up' EP
Sam Hunt is back with new music, and he's already performing it live!
Just days after the country music star dropped his new Locked Up EP on Friday, April 5, he performed at the 2024 CMT Music Awards. Hunt took the stage at The Moody Center in Austin, Texas, to play the project's title track, "Locked Up."
Alongside his band, the "Body Like a Back Road" artist, 39, delivered a soulful rendition of the song for the audience.

Hunt — who attended the show with his wife Hannah — was not among this year's nominees at the CMT Awards, but he has been nominated nine total times and previously won the trophy for breakthrough video of the year for his hit 2014 single "Leave the Night On."
Hunt's performance follows the release of his four-track EP Locked Up, which features "Country House," "Last Hurrah," "Outskirts" and the title track.
The project marks the "Take Your Time" singer's first release of 2024 and his follow-up to his 2020 sophomore album Southside.

The singer-songwriter stopped by the 2024 CMT Awards as he's in the midst of his Outskirts Tour. The run of live shows across North America, which features support from Brett Young and Lily Rose, kicked off in February and continues until Saturday, April 13.
On Friday, Hunt performer in Greensboro, North Carolina before making his way to Austin for the awards ceremony.
Not long after the Outskirts Tour ends, the "Make You Miss Me" performer will get back out on the road for the Locked Up Tour, which will see him supporting his new EP and bringing along special guests Russell Dickerson, Dalton Dover and George Birge. The tour is set to launch in late June and continue throughout the summer until late September.
Hunt was just one of many A-listers set to perform at the 23rd iteration of the CMT Music Awards. At this year's award show, hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, the entertainment slate was also filled out by Bailey Zimmerman, Brittney Spencer, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Jordan Davis, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Megan Moroney, NEEDTOBREATHE, Old Dominion, Parker McCollum, Sam Hunt, Sugarland and the host herself.
Trisha Yearwood played a new song, as well, to coincide with her receiving the honorary June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award.
Brooks & Dunn, Sammy Hagar and Lainey Wilson also joined forces for a special tribute performance in honor of the late Toby Keith.
