Sam Bee destroys Harvey Weinstein and has a message for men everywhere
Sam Bee on Full Frontal With Samantha Bee had a message for men who might be about to pull a Harvey Weinstein. “Fellas, I’m a big comedy star/Hollywood executive and I found it’s quite easy not to masturbate in front of my employees. In fact, it’s one of the easiest things I don’t do,” she said in her direct message to men everywhere.
In response to Harvey’s excuse that he grew up in the 1960s and 1970s when “all the rules about behavior and workplace were different,” she said, “Give me a break, white Cosby. Nobody asked for your ‘All about mea culpa.’ Don’t blame the ’60s and ’70s. It’s serial sexual harassment, not a Monkees tattoo.”
Multiple women have come forward to accuse Weinstein of wrongdoing. There is even a recording made by the NYPD of Weinstein admitting to assault. And Sam Bee went ahead and did her own dramatic reading of it saying, “‘Oh, my gross little pee-pee will get so saggy if you don’t come in this room with me. “I’m going to ruin your career! Oh, you’re making my d*** feel so sad!'”
With Bee offering advice to men on how to not sexually harass their colleagues, she also had a message for men who continue to do so. “We are coming for you,” she said, “Talk to every woman you work with like she has the New York Times on speed dial. I guess it took the Times a little while to take care of business. Ok, talk to every woman like she has me on speed dial.”
