Salma Hayek Shares Beachy Swimsuit Photo Taken by Daughter Valentina, 16

The 'Frida' star showed off the teen's photography skills by sharing a snapshot from their trip to the beach

Salma Hayek is showing off her daughter's photography skills!

On Sunday, the Eternals actress, 57, shared a glimpse of her day at the beach — and her stylish bikini look — by posting a photo of herself taken by her 16-year-old daughter, Valentina.

"It always helps to have a photographer in the family," Hayek wrote in the caption, also crediting the teen by writing, "📸 Valentina Pinault."

The photo shows Hayek standing on the beach with her feet in shallow water, as she wears a black bikini and the sun sets behind her.

Hayek often gives her daughter shout-outs on social media. Last year, she celebrated Valentina on her 15th birthday by sharing a post featuring childhood photos of her as a sleeping toddler, and as a young girl snacking on a cupcake with rainbow face paint while posing near a happy-face birthday cake.

"Happy 15 years to my beloved. Valentina, you are my everything," the proud mom wrote at the time. "Thank you for lighting up our lives with the strength of your wonderful spirit. It is a privilege to be your Mom. I love you with all my heart."

Blake Lively, who worked with Hayek on the 2012 film Savages, commented on the post, "I took that second photo 😢🥹🥹♥️ my baby!!"

Last year, Valentina accompanied Hayek to the Oscars and paid homage to her mom by walking the red carpet in a dress first worn by the actress in 1997, a red strapless Isaac Mizrahi design.

In May 2022, the mother-daughter duo posed together on the cover of Vogue Mexico.

At the time, the Frida star shared a carousel of images on Instagram from the photo shoot where she and her daughter — whom she shares with husband François-Henri Pinault, along with his three children from previous relationships — pose together in several casual looking shots.

Hayek raved over the opportunity to share the magazine cover with her daughter, calling it a "great early Mother's Day present" in her caption.

"Loving these beautiful photos by @nicobustos and this special moment with my Valentina," Hayek wrote. "Thank you @voguemexico."

Speaking to Vogue Mexico at the time, Valentina opened up about her desire to follow in her mom's footsteps.

"I want different things, but I would like to be an actress and then a director because that is what makes sense in my head," she told the magazine. "Also, I think it must be more difficult to be a director if you don't have experience on the other side of the screen, that could help directing."
