Salma Hayek drove her Instagram followers wild this weekend – a quick snack by the kitchen sink seemed to do the trick as the 53-year-old took to the platform with a quick throwback.

Salma's recent social media activity has seen her apologize for endorsing controversial novel "American Dirt" without having read it – the Mexican took to Instagram with a heartfelt apology over the book that has been deemed offensive for reinforcing racial stereotypes.

There was nothing controversial about Salma's Sunday post, though. Check out the cheeky snap below.

'What's In Your Bowl?'

Salma's photo was a black-and-white one. The "Frida" actress was in a low-key setting as she sat by a kitchen sink, bowl-in-hand. Salma was definitely looking younger, also flaunting her toned and shapely frame via a white mini skirt that was showing plenty of leg – the star contrasted her light-colored skirt with a dark and sleeveless top.

Salma posed with a toying and slightly suggestive expression as she licked her lips.

"What's in your bowl?' she captioned her image, also offering a Spanish version. She added: "#SundayMood.'

Admits She Was 'So Skinny' Back In The Day

Salma's post generated comments – both from fans and the actress popping her own head into the comments section.

"Don't worry about my foot," she wrote, adding:

"That was a long time ago. That is also why I look so young and so skinny."

Fans had nothing but good words.

"Sweet jesus," one fan wrote.

"Bowl of positivity," another said.

Clearly, though, the seemingly-injured leg had sparked concern, with many fans querying what was up.

"What happened to your ankle Salma?" one fan asked.

Anyone landing on Salma's post quickly found the actress' explanation as one of the most-liked comments, though.

Apologizing For Promoting The Controversial Oprah-Approved Book

Salma continues to make headlines for having endorsed, then later apologized for promoting "American Dirt."

The book relating the story of a Mexican woman and her young son feeling to the U.S. border amid Cartel violence was praised by renowned author Stephen King and chosen by Oprah Winfrey for her book club. Jeanine Cummins' book has been deemed "problematic," though, with some calling it a "poorly informed narrative," reinforcing stereotypes.

“I thank all of you who caught me in the act of not doing my research, and for setting me straight, because that means you know me and gave me the benefit of the doubt,” Salma wrote.

“I apologize for shouting out something without experiencing it or doing research on it," she added.

Image Untarnished, Though

For the most part, fans appeared to appreciate Hayek's apology.

"No need to apologize. All is good with me. 🖕🏼 Haters!," one fan wrote.

"Don’t worry about anything you’re loved and admired for many many reasons 💕😘," another said.

"That’s why you’re amazing! You always choose to do the right thing. 💜" one fan told the star.

Salma has 13.7 million Instagram followers. Her account is followed by celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry, and Gal Gadot. Reality judge, Gabrielle Union, and 21-year-old actress Bella Thorne also keep tabs on her.
