Sally Field One-Ups Helen Mirren With Passionate Kiss for Colbert
Things got hot and heavy on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert when Sally Field planted a big one on Colbert. There must be something in the water because just the night before, the same thing happened with Dame Helen Mirren. And while some girls are hot for teacher, it appears actresses are hot for Colbert. After kissing Colbert, Sally said to the bashful host, “I figured if Helen did it, why can’t I?” Colbert admitted to Sally: “It goes without saying. I had a crush on you when I was a child, and that hasn’t gone away. It’s just been revived in a large way.”
Sally playfully reminded Colbert that kissing isn’t a big deal for an actress; she said, “I’ve been kissing guys onscreen for last 53 years of my life — what’s the big deal!” The star of Hello, My Name Is Doris teased Colbert and said, “A pair of lips are just a pair of lips.”
While the two did share a passionate kiss in the beginning of the interview, once it was time to say goodbye, they passed on a second kiss. Maybe they’ll have another chance for a sweet kiss on the silver screen one day.
