Sally Field arrested at Jane Fonda's climate change protest

Sally Field has been arrested at Jane Fonda's Fire Drill Fridays climate change march in Washington, D.C.

The Fire Drill Fridays Twitter account tweeted a video, thanking Field and showing her being taken away by police on the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building in the rain Friday.

Field's arrest comes after her acting career was celebrated at the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday.

Field had previously tweeted in support of Fonda's activism in October, responding to an article about Fonda's arrest at the climate change protest with raised fist emoji in a tweet.

Friday's protest focused on a “just transition” for workers and communities most affected by the move to a clean energy economy, according to a release from Fire Drill Fridays, which the group tweeted "will include wage guarantees for displaced workers, pension guarantees, health insurance for families & additional financial support for those who choose to relocate or acquire the skills necessary for making the transition."
