Now, fans are eager to know details about its sequel, Salaar 2. Jagapathi Babu, who played Raja Mannar in the movie, recently spilled some beans about his role and teased another massive actioner.

Prashanth Neel helmed Salaar, while Hombale Films produced it. The director often revealed how he started writing Salaar before KGF came to life. He even spent years in the pre-production stage of the film. Apart from Prabhas, Prashanth Neel, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu played key roles in the movie.

Jagapathi Babu gives an update on his role in Salaar 2

Jagapathi Babu is receiving praise for his role as Raja Mannar in Salaar, with the audience widely lauding his impeccable acting skills. The actor recently teased how his character will be explored even more in the upcoming sequel of the film.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, he said, “My character’s foundation was laid in this; it’s more of an introduction for part 2. Part 2 is going to be – it’s really going to be more – I’m really looking forward to that.”

When asked if he has had discussions with the director about Salaar 2, Jagapathi Babu replied with a no. He said, “Nope. I don’t believe in getting into that because I’m not the kind of actor who believes in disturbing a good director a good technician. I don’t want to pressurize him or ask him anything. He will give it to me. And I’ll take it when it comes to me. I’ll wait because it’s worth waiting, and he’ll come back because he laid my foundation so strong that I have to be there.”

The upcoming installment in the film franchise has been titled Salaar Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam.
