SAINt JHN Announces Debut Album, Shares "I Heard You Got Too Litt Last Night"

SAINt JHN's 'Collection 1' is long overdue, but it's finally arriving in March.

Ever since Brooklyn artist SAINt JHN released "Roses" in 2016, he's been toward the top of our list of new artists to look out for. He raps, but it's unfair to label him solely as a rapper because most of his songs are hinged on big hooks, melodic verses, and songwriting that could be applied to pop or rock music if you sped up the tempo and substituted the sounds and reference points.

We kept wondering about an album, but SAINt JHN has been moving at his own pace, staying consistent with unforgettable singles like "Reflex," "3 Below," and "Some Nights" and remaining silent about future plans. On a run like that, the songs are usually promoted as lead singles for an album on the way, but SAINt JHN has never mentioned an album... until today.

SAINt JHN's debut project, Collection 1, is coming March 9. He's the son of a preacher and one of nine siblings, and he draws inspiration from the time he's spent growing up in Guyana and Brooklyn. He's written for A-list artists like Usher, Joey Badass, and Jidenna, but his string of songs released as a solo artist has been even more impressive, and his charisma and performances make it obvious that SAINt JHN was never meant to be a behind-the-scenes guy. He's a star in the making, and if Collection 1 is anywhere near as good as the music he's put out so far, he'll be one of 2018's breakthrough artists. Longtime P&P readers already know, but for everyone else: get familiar with SAINt JHN, because he's soon going to be impossible to ignore.
