Keep refreshing/reloading this 2024 SAG Awards live blog for the most recent updates.

8:00pm — Welcome to the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards! Prior to the start of the ceremony, “The Last of Us” won for TV Series Stunt Ensemble and “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” received the honor for Film Stunt Ensemble. Performers Michael Cera, Colman Domingo, Hannah Waddingham and Idris Elba kicked us off with their incredibly unique “I’m an actor” stories; unlike prior years where the performers did these stories from their seats, these four walked us from the carpet to the stage. Elba stands in as host for the opening segment, joking about being able to swear now that SAG streams on Netflix and acknowledging the SAG strike of 2023 before throwing to a montage of film and TV from the past year.

8:10pmMeryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, in a “Devil Wears Prada” reunion, present the award for TV Comedy Actor to Jeremy Allen White (“The Bear”). This is the second consecutive victory for White in this category. At the end of his funny and touching speech, he mentioned that winners get a lot of extra time for their speeches thanks to the ceremony’s move to streaming.

8:15pmIssa Rae and Glen Powell present the award for Limited/Movie Actress to Ali Wong (“Beef”). This is Wong’s first SAG nomination and win. She gave a shoutout to her 83-year-old mother, who attended the ceremony with her tonight.

8:17pmAmerica Ferrera and Margot Robbie introduce one of the nominees for Film Ensemble, “Barbie.” Backstage, Tan France interviews two-time SAG-winner Jeremy Allen White about receiving his award from the legendary “Prada” trio.

8:22pmBillie Eilish and Melissa McCarthy are on hand for presenter shenanigans and to give the award for TV Comedy Actress to Ayo Edebiri (“The Bear”). This was her first solo SAG nomiation, having previously been nominated as an ensemble member of “The Bear” for its first season.

8:27pmErika Alexander, Sterling K. Brown, Tracee Ellis Ross and Jeffrey Wright introduce their nominated Film Ensemble, “American Fiction.”

8:29pmPhil Dunster and Storm Reid present the award for TV Drama Actor to Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”). This is Pascal’s first solo nomination. He has one bid before this year as an ensemble member of “Game of Thrones.” Pascal is the first minor upset of the night, as the majority of Gold Derby users were expecting Kieran Culkin to win after his victory at the Emmys in January. He is one of the two cast members from “The Last of Us” also nominated for Drama Ensemble. After his speech, Tan France interviews Ayo Edebiri backstage.

8:37pm — In a “Lord of the Rings” reunion, Sean Astin and Elijah Wood team up to present the first film award of the evening to Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“The Holdovers”) for Film Supporting Actress. This is Randolph’s first nomination and win. She begins her speech with a beautiful acknowledgement to her fellow nominees. She also gives kudos to costars Paul Giamatti and Dominic Sessa for creating a supportive environment for her performance because “grief is a slippery emotion to capture.”

8:42pmLily Gladstone, Robert De Niro and Tantoo Cardinal introduce their nominated Film Ensemble, “Killers of the Flower Moon.”

8:44pmGreta Lee and Troy Kotsur present the award for Limited/Movie Actor to Steven Yeun (“Beef”). This is Yeun’s first SAG victory. He has two prior nominations for Film Actor and Film Ensemble for “Minari.” In his speech, he recalls the first gig that scored him his SAG union card and says he feels the same enthusiasm for winning this award as he did then. After the speech, Tan France interviews winner Pedro Pascal.

8:55pm — After showing clips from many past winners of the TV Comedy Ensemble prize, the cast of “Modern Family” — Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Ed O’Neill, Sophia Vergara, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson — reunited to present the comedy ensemble prize to the cast of “The Bear.” This was the second nomination for “The Bear” in the category but their first win. Abby Elliott speaks on behalf of the large ensemble.

9:00pmSheryl Lee Ralph singing “People,” Jon Hamm, Taraji P. Henson and Patrick Wilson kick off the introduction to the Lifetime Achievement Award presentation. Jennifer Aniston introduces the honoree Barbra Streisand. The “Morning Show” star notes that its appropriate that the SAG Awards are at the Shrine Auditorium this year because it is where Streisand once performed in 1963. Aniston passes the baton to Bradley Cooper to continue the tribute, which is fitting because he directed and starred in the latest adaptation of “A Star is Born,” in which Streisand once herself starred and for which she won an Oscar for Original Song. After receiving a long standing ovation, Streisand recalls being a member of the actors union for over 60 years.

9:18pm — Idris Elba returns to present an award that he himself won for “Beasts of No Nation” — Film Supporting Actor — to Robert Downey Jr. for “Oppenheimer.” He has six total lifetime SAG nominations, including his two for “Oppenheimer,” and he has won once before for TV Comedy Actor for “Ally McBeal.”

9:24pm — SAG President Fran Drescher delivers a speech reflecting on last year’s SAG strike and discussing her vision for the future of the actors union and its “golden age.”

9:28pmOmar Sy and Alexander Skarsgård present the award for TV Drama Actress to Elizabeth Debicki (‘The Crown’). This is Debicki’s first SAG victory; she was previously nominated in this category and as an ensemble member of “The Crown.” This is the second minor upset of the evening, as most Gold Derby predictors thought Sarah Snook would win for “Succession.” Only 113 were predicting Debicki. After the speech, Tan France introduces Lisa Ann Walter, who was mic’d while on the red carpet and shares behind-the-scenes looks at her interactions.

9:37pm — After showing clips of past winners for TV Drama Ensemble, the cast of “Breaking Bad” — Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Bob Odenkirk, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, and Jonathan Banks — reunites on stage to present this year’s trophy to “Succession.” This is the second time “Succession” has won this trophy. Cast member Alan Ruck accepts on behalf of the large cast and discusses making “friends for life” amongst the ensemble.

9:43pm — Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy introduce their nominated film ensemble, “Oppenheimer.”

9:45pmNaomi Watts introduces the In Memoriam presentation.

9:50pm — Last year’s winner of Film Actor, Brendan Fraser (“The Whale”), returns to the SAG Awards this year to present the trophy to Cillian Murphy (“Oppenheimer”). The Christopher Nolan film marks Murphy’s first two SAG nominations in this category and for Film Ensemble. In his speech, Murphy says he is “bursting with respect and admiration” for his fellow nominees.

9:55pmTaraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks and Halle Bailey introduce their nominated film ensemble, “The Color Purple.”

9:57pm — Past winner for Film Actress, Jessica Chastain (“The Eyes of Tammy Faye”), presents this year’s award to Lily Gladstone for “Killers of the Flower Moon.” This is Gladstone’s first SAG win; she has two nominations this year for “Killers of the Flower Moon” in Actress and Film Ensemble. In her speech, she implores artists to “keep telling stories” that “need to be heard” and thanks the “compassionate souls” in attendance at the SAG Awards. After her speech, Tan France interviews winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

10:04pm — After showing clips of past Film Ensemble winners, Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum, who starred together in David Cronenberg‘s “The Fly,” present this year’s award to “Oppenheimer.”

10:13pm — That is a wrap on the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards! On the film side “Oppenheimer” leads with 3 victories, while “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” and “The Holdovers” took 1 trophy each. On the TV side, “The Bear” took home the most prizes with 3, “The Last of Us” and “Beef” both won two, and “Succession” and “The Crown” scored one trophy apiece.
