SAG Awards predictions by TV shows: ‘Succession’ and ‘The Bear’ will continue to sweep

At the recent 2023 Emmy Awards — which were presented just last month — HBO’s “Succession” and FX’s “The Bear” dominated the night winning six awards each at the Primetime ceremony. Our official odds predict that both shows will continue sweeping this winter awards season at the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards, which will be handed out on Saturday, Feb. 24 on Netflix. “Succession” enters the SAG Awards with the most nominations of the year with five citations, and our users expect it will win three of those awards for Best Drama Ensemble, Best Actor for Kieran Culkin and Best Actress for Sarah Snook. That would be the best showing for the series ever, as the concluded drama has only ever won once before back in 2022 for Drama Ensemble. “The Bear” is just one nomination shy of “Succession” with four total and will similarly take home three awards for Best Comedy Ensemble, Best Actor for Jeremy Allen White and Best Actress for Ayo Edebiri. For its first season, the comedy only won one trophy for White.

“Beef,” another series that has been performing extremely well at the Golden Globes, Emmys and Critics Choice Awards, will score two more trophies for actor Steven Yeun and actress Ali Wong, while our users anticipate the Stunt Ensemble award to go to HBO’s freshman drama “The Last of Us.”
