SAG Awards (Film): Best prediction scores by our Editors and Users

Congratulations to our User Victor for a great score of 100% when predicting the 2024 SAG Awards film winners on Saturday. Our top scorer is actually tied with a whopping 156 other people at that percentage but has a better point score of 141,400 by using the two Super Bets (500 points each) wisely.

More than 3,800 people worldwide predicted these movie champs in a ceremony that streamed live on Netflix. Our top User got all six categories correct. The night featured major wins by “Oppenheimer”: Best Film Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Film Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.) and Best Film Ensemble. Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”) surprised by winning Best Film Actress over Emma Stone (“Poor Things”). Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“The Holdovers”) claimed Best Film Supporting Actress. And “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” received Best Film Stunt Ensemble.

For our 12 Gold Derby Editors predicting, I led with a score of 83.33%. Next with 66.67% are Charles Bright, Denton Davidson, Joyce Eng, Matt Noble, Tom O’Neil, Christopher Rosen and Paul Sheehan. Beyond Eng, O’Neil, Richmond and Rosen, we had 20 other Experts predicting. Five of them scored 83.33%: Thelma Adams (Gold Derby), Perri Nemiroff (Collider), Nikki Novak (Fandango), Sasha Stone (Awards Daily) and Brian Truitt (USA Today). Tied at 66.67% are Erik Davis (Fandango), Susan King (Gold Derby), Scott Mantz (KTLA-TV), Wilson Morales (Black Film and TV), Matt Neglia (Next Best Picture), Keith Simanton (IMDb), Jazz Tangcay (Variety) and Anne Thompson (IndieWire). Next with 50.00% are Shawn Edwards (WDAF-TV Fox), Tariq Khan (Gold Derby), Claudia Puig (KPCC), Peter Travers (ABC) and Susan Wloszczyna (Gold Derby). And scoring 33.33% are Clayton Davis (Variety) and Pete Hammond (Deadline Hollywood). See Experts’ scores.
