Safelite is not too happy about a “Saturday Night Live” skit that aired on Saturday night portraying one of its technicians as a decidedly creepy stalker played by cast member Beck Bennett.
“Thanks for the skit. Although we can take a joke, this one was a step too far. Our techs are our heroes. #notcool,” the company tweeted on Sunday afternoon.
In another tweet, the company said it was “surprised” by the sketch — which it called “disappointing.”
@nbcsnl thanks for the skit. Although we can take a joke, this one was a step too far. Our techs are our heroes. #notcool

A spokesperson for NBC declined to comment on Monday.
In the skit, a woman and her daughter notice their windshield is cracked when they head into the school for the daughter’s basketball game.
Before the game is over, the mother schedule a Safelite appointment to have the windshield fixed, and it’s done before they even get back to their car.

However, the mother-daughter duo notice the windshield is cracked during the next game, and the daughter becomes more and more uncomfortable with how Bennett’s technician looks at her and what he says to her.
And when the windshield cracks for the third time, it becomes clear that this isn’t just a coincidence and that the technician has been cracking and replacing it to get more time with the daughter.
But when she declines his advances, he changes his course and hits on the mom.

Some fans took to Twitter to post their reaction to the skit, to which Safelite responded that they were really “disappointed in @NBCSNL for airing it.”
We weren't involved in creating it and we're really disappointed in @NBCSNL for airing it.
