'Sad to say goodbye': Branch, restaurant inside old East Walnut Hills bank, is closing

Branch, the restaurant built in a former bank in East Walnut Hills, is closing its doors.

Owners announced the closure in a Facebook post on Friday and thanked the community for its support.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce we have decided to close the doors to Branch," the post read. "Though we are sad to say goodbye we are also filled with immense gratitude. We thank all the teammates, guests, and community members who supported us. We wish you all nothing but the best."

Branch's last day of service was not indicated, but the restaurant is not currently accepting reservations on opentable.com.

The Littlefield Restaurant Group opened Branch, the restaurant, and Night Drop, the basement bar, inside the former Central Trust Bank building in 2018. The bank, which first opened in 1921, had sat vacant for 50 years, and Littlefield spent roughly $1.2 million to renovate it, WCPO reported.

The restaurant's dining room was closed for more than a year during the height of the pandemic.

The Enquirer has reached out to the restaurant's media director for more information.
