'Outlander' Season 2 Preview: Jamie and Claire Invade French Society
Just in time for #GivingTuesday, Starz has unwrapped a big ol’ gift for Outlander fans — the first season 2 teaser trailer. The quick clip showcases the further adventures of the Diana Gabaldon-created Sassenach and her Scottish stud when they find themselves across the Channel in spring 2016.

From the looks of the clip, there is less haggis and more high society, less torture, more toile, and (unfortunately) less unbridled bodice ripping, more rebellion infiltrating. When we last parted, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) had escaped the evil clutches of Black Jack and hopped on a boat bound for France. Now pregnant (OMG, there’s a nanosecond of exposed baby bump!), Claire is even more determined to save her ginger-bred man and the Scotland she has come to love. To do so, they’ll need to infiltrate the Jacobite movement led by Prince Charles Stuart and stop the disastrous battle of Culloden with the help of Jamie’s wine merchant cousin Jared. Unfortunately, the affluent folks seem more interested in partying than politics and the pressure of changing the future just might be too much for the Highland heroes’ relationship.
But don’t despair because there’s more to come: The video is but the first daily scoop in the planned 25 Days of #OutlanderOfferings campaign. Starz will issue exclusive content related to the series — never-before-seen photos, cast interviews, themed recipes and chances to win series merch — across its social media sites from now until Christmas.
