Sabu On No-Showing Indie Wrestling Hall Of Fame Induction: I Changed My Mind
Sabu changed his mind.
As previously noted, Sabu no-showed his own induction into the Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame over WrestleMania weekend. GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale stated that the ECW legend was in town, and he got paid for the appearance, but he stayed in his hotel room, as he did not feel like getting in the elevator and going downstairs.

Brett Lauderdale replied and said there were no hard feelings. He wrote that he had nothing but respect for Sabu as a person and as a performer. Lauderdale noted that his sacrifices changed the game, and many of his own favorite memories as a fan were centerd around his work.
Just for the record, I have no hard feelings towards Sabu and still have nothing but respect for him as a person and especially as a performer.
The sacrifices he made changed the game (pardon the pun) and many of my favorite memories as a fan are centered around his work. https://t.co/qBjE40bvRA— brett lauderdale (@Lauderdale11) April 10, 2024
Sabu was one of ECW’s top stars, and he held their heavyweight title. He has wrestled for WWE, NJPW, and TNA, and other promotions throughout his legendary career.
