Sabrina Carpenter, Eslabon Armado, Ashley Gorley and Victoria Monét Join Variety’s Hitmakers Event As Honorees

Variety has announced additional honorees for its annual Hitmakers Event on Dec. 2 in Los Angeles.

Sabrina Carpenter will receive the Rising Star Award presented by H&M, celebrating her transformative year as a music artist. Sabrina has delivered one anthem after another on stage and in the studio, earning multiple gold and platinum certifications for hit songs “Nonsense” and “Feather.” Her Emails I Can’t Send tour has taken her to sold-out crowds around the world. Currently, Carpenter is supporting Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour.

Eslabon Armado will receive the Collaborator Award for their song with Peso Pluma, “Ella Baila Sola.” The song is listed as the highest-ranked Latin song and ninth most consumed song of the year published by Variety in its annual Hitmakers issue.

Victoria Monét will receive the Triple Threat Award for her role as a singer, songwriter and performer. After receiving seven Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year for “On My Mama” and Best New Artist, Monét has paved the way for an even bigger 2024.

After a record-breaking year, including the unprecedented achievement of landing his 70th number one single, Ashley Gorley will receive the Songwriter of the Year Award. His song “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen is featured as the number one most consumed song of the year on Variety’s Hitmakers list.

These artists will join previously announced honorees SZA, Metro Boomin, Olivia Rodrigo, boygenius, Billie Eilish & FINNEAS, Maren Morris, Mark Ronson, Michael Sticka and Republic Records.

Presenters for the event include Future, Ryan Gosling, St. Vincent, Jay Rock, Julia Michaels, Maggie Rogers, Conan Gray and more.

The event is presented by Sony Audio (Sony Corporation’s audio division) and its “For the Music” brand platform and campaign. City National Bank will be presenting the award to Grammy Museum President and CEO Michael Sticka.
