New 'True Detective' Season 2 Teaser Trailers are Super Intense

HBO released two new True Detective teaser trailers on Saturday, giving us a brief, intense glimpse at the upcoming second season of the gritty, celebrated crime drama.
As insanely gripping as the first season of True Detective was, this upcoming season looks like it could be even more compelling -- and crazy!
The world of the upcoming season of True Detective is filled out by cops -- played by Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch -- and criminals -- played by Vince Vaughn and Kelly Reilly. But it's hard to tell where the line between those sides lies.
Using the tried-and-true HBO teaser trailer technique of using limited dialog and letting an ominous score and intense imagery build to a crescendo, these new spots have us even more excited for the coming season than we already were.
The second season of True Detective premieres June 21 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
