Lucy Liu to Direct ‘Graceland’ Episode
Actress Lucy Liu is making more moves behind the camera. She’s been tapped by USA Network to direct an episode on the upcoming third season of “Graceland.”
Liu made her television directorial debut in CBS’ “Elementary,” where she plays Watson to co-star Jonny Lee Miller’s Sherlock Holmes, helming two episodes of the whodunit. Her first turn behind the lens was directing the 2014 short film “Meena.”
Liu said that she’s eager to be on the production side of the USA detective drama.
“ ‘Graceland’ is a truly gripping drama series with strong, dynamic characters and a knack for shedding light on the ‘human element’ of some very provocative storylines,” Liu said. “As a fan of the series since its launch, I am so excited to be a part of this production and direct an episode for season three.”
Liu’s episode is set to air on Aug. 27. The third season of “Graceland” premieres on June 25.
