‘Homeland’ Season 5 to Shoot in Berlin

Homeland” will shoot its fifth season in Berlin, Showtime confirmed Monday.

Showrunner Alex Gansa teased a few weeks ago that Germany would be a central part of the storyline in the fifth season. Showtime said the series will begin lensing its 12 episodes in June at Studio Babelsberg in Berlin.

As previously disclosed, season five will pick up two years after the time frame at the end of season four, with Claire Danes’ Carrie Matheson “in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm.”
