RZA, Snoop Dogg, Common Set for 'Simpsons' Hip-Hop Great Gatsby Episode

RZA, Snoop Dogg, and Common will appear on a forthcoming episode of “The Simpsons,” Entertainment Weekly reports. The episode is called “The Great Phatsby,” and it’s an hourlong hip-hop-themed homage to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel. “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson and Keegan-Michael Key will also appear in the special. In addition, “Empire” music producer Jim Beanz has reporteldy created original hip-hop songs for the episode. “The Great Phatsby” will mark “The Simpsons”’ first-ever hourlong endeavor. Below, see RZA, Snoop, and Common as “Simpsons” characters.

All three rappers released new music in 2016: RZA and Paul Banks teamed up for their Banks & Steelz debut Anything But Words; Snoop released Coolaid; and Common dropped Black America Again in November. In addition, Snoop got his own TV show, “Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party,” which recently got renewed for a second season.
