RZA and Raekwon are looking to deliver a classic album they both contributed to in a special way. The Wu-Tang Clan members announced they will be performing the 1995 classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx backed by a symphony orchestra later this month.

RZA shared details about the shows this past Friday (Jan. 2). “In two weeks experience the RZA, @raekwon and the Colorado Symphone Orchestra perform Only Built 4 Cuban Linx,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Get your tickets now to witness this legendary event on February 16 & 17, 2024 at Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver, CO.” Tickets can be purchased here.

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… is a landmark hip-hop album released by rapper Raekwon, who rose to prominence as a founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan,” the show synopsis says. “Produced by fellow Wu-Tang Clan founder RZA, this record is a cornerstone of East Coast hip-hop and a quintessential piece of the genre’s golden era, thanks in part to RZA’s extraordinary beats and the introduction of Raekwon and Ghostface Killah as a legendary rap duo.”

“With its gritty storytelling, intricate lyricism, and cinematic production, Cuban Linx offers listeners a vivid glimpse into the street life of 1990s New York City,” the synopsis continues. “Together with the Colorado Symphony, this legendary duo will reimagine their timeless album that continues to inspire and shape the sound of contemporary hip-hop today.”

Naturally, fans are curious if Ghostface Killah, their fellow Wu-Tang Clan member who appeared on more than half of the album’s 17 tracks, will be hitting the stage, as well. Currently, that information is unknown. The most recent headline involving the “Purple Hearts” rapper came back in May 2023 with his son, Infinite Coles, going on a social media rant and calling him a deadbeat father.

While fans wait to find out whether he will be in Denver or not, get reacquainted with the legendary 1995 album below.
