Ryan Seacrest Sports Red Jumpsuit for Derby Race Against Tamron Hall

Ryan Seacrest was tapping into his boy scout image when he participated in a life-sized soapbox derby race!

The 44-year-old television host was spotted Monday in a red jumpsuit outside the "Live With Kelly & Ryan" studios for a race against Tamron Hall, who is filling in for Kelly Ripa while she's on vacation.

Ryan's custom car racing suit featured a zip up the middle with a belt buckle around his waist and a few patches.

Ryan completed his racing look with a pair of tennis shoes and a white helmet.

Before the race, Seacrest was seen running between the competitors, trying to intimidate them with his lightning speed. He also found a moment to pose with fans watching the race, and get a few selfies while the crowd screamed his name.

Tamron appeared to be having a good time as well while being loaded up onto the starting track.

Judging by the photos, Seacrest appeared to beat Tamron by a nose in the race, which will probably guarantee her a hosting job with the former "American Idol" star in the future.

Ryan's Monday morning appearance didn't appear to come with any issues, unlike his attendance at Jennifer Lopez's 50th birthday bash in Miami last week which he admitted he could not get into.

Seacrest flew down from New York to Miami to celebrate with the superstar, he said when he arrived, his name wasn't on the list.

"So I get to the front, and he's got the list and I see a bunch of Ryans,' he said, of the bouncer at the door to the swanky event.

"He goes, 'You're not on the list.' This is a true story. Sure enough, there's a Ryan T., Ryan Z., there's no Ryan Seacrest."

Luckily, Seacrest had them triple check ... and he was eventually let into the event.
