Ryan Seacrest Praises Kelly Ripa: 'She Is an Exceptional Mother, Sister, Daughter, and America’s Best Friend'

Kelly Ripa was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame Tuesday evening and was overcome with emotion. The Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host was overheard telling reporters before the ceremony that she didn’t really feel worthy of the honor and actually felt uncomfortable — but after nearly 30 years in the biz she, of course, is deserving!

And who better to introduce the soon-to-be inductee than longtime friend and co-host Ryan Seacrest. “This amazing woman,” Seacrest said to a room full of veteran broadcasters, “[is] the best friend to millions of people each and every day, most of which she’s never met. She lifts our spirits and makes our days so much more enjoyable.”

He continued to sing her praises. “Kelly is an exceptional mother, I see it first-hand. Wife to our husband Mark…sister, daughter, and America’s best friend as well as mine.”

And when Ripa took the stage herself she also had very kind words to say about her co-host. “I want to say what a pleasure it is working with you every day. I am so grateful to get to show up and work with someone that I trust so implicitly and who I love so much,” — but it wouldn’t be in Kelly’s nature to not poke a little fun as well. “I’m sure when Ryan picked up his life and moved across the country he expected a big Hollywood production filled with luxuries like complimentary water and a hard-boiled egg, or his private urinal, one that he doesn’t have to share with the studio audience, he didn’t get any of that…but what he did get was family, a very small, very tight family.”

Could these two be any cuter? Nope, not possible.
