Ryan Reynolds Says There's an A-List Actress Who Is His Doppelganger
Ryan Reynolds recently became a dad for the third time. He and his wife Blake Lively had a child together back in October, and the two have yet to reveal what they named the kid. Instead of focusing on that, though, Reynolds has decided to spend his time talking about his celebrity doppelganger.
During an appearance on the Today show, the actor mentioned that actress Kate Beckinsale looks just like him. The idea that the two look alike actually goes back years.

Of course, Reynolds has a little more facial hair than Beckinsale, but otherwise, the resemblance is pretty striking. Reynolds certainly isn't upset by the comparison, and even said that looking at Beckinsale is "like looking in a mirror."
Back in October, Beckinsale brought up the similarities between the two during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. On the show, she mentioned that she'll often see ads with Reynolds's face on them and get momentarily confused by them.
“I look exactly like Ryan Reynolds," she told Fallon. "Like in a shocking way. Like, when sometimes I see a bus going by with a poster on it I think, 'Damn, I look hot. Oh, wait, that’s not me. Also, I’ve never done that movie.'”
Who hasn't confused themselves with Ryan Reynolds at one time or another? Of course, Reynolds knew just what to do when the clip appeared. In his Instagram story, he posted a photoshopped version of the "Double, Double Toil and Trouble" poster with his and Beckinsale's faces photoshopped over the Olsen twins.
Honestly, we'd definitely watch that movie. The two stars hail from totally different parts of the globe. Reynolds is from Canada, and Beckinsale is British. In spite of their differences in national origin, it's hard to ignore the striking resemblance between them.
In recent years, Reynolds has proved his talent as a comedian through work as Deadpool and in other comedies. He's also set to star in the upcoming movie "Free Guy," and he recently starred in "6 Underground" on Netflix.
Moving forward, though, Ryan's career may get a little less busy as he focuses on being a father. “It gets a lot harder when they ask, ‘Where are you going? When are you coming home? Why are you leaving me?'" he told Today.
The actor has three children now, with the older two being 4 and 3. As an actor, you're often gone for long stretches at a time. It's understandable that Reynolds would want to see his kids grow up instead of working constantly.
