Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock serenade The Proposal costar Betty White on her 98th birthday
Happy birthday, Betty White!
On Friday, Ryan Reynolds posted a video to Twitter in which he and Sandra Bullock serenade their The Proposal costar to celebrate her 98th(!) birthday. The clip kicks off with Bullock singing “Happy Birthday” to the iconic actress before Reynolds butts in to continue the song. While Bullock tries to attest that she loves White more than Reynolds does, he derails the song somewhat by sharing the lengths he goes to to ensure White has the perfect celebration annually. “What does Sandy do for you every year?” asks the Deadpool actor. “Does she like, show up and hand-deliver flowers to you wearing nothing but black socks and a dozen gold bracelets, just like you requested? Doubt it.” He then breaks down in tears.

White starred alongside Bullock and Reynolds in the 2009 rom-com The Proposal, about a Canadian executive (Bullock) who learns that she may face deportation from the U.S. because of her expired visa and forces her assistant (Reynolds) to act as her fiancé. White plays Andrew’s grandmother, Grandma Annie. Seems like the cast forged a lasting bond!
